			Jezara’s life is less about her being a succubus and being very successful at what she does best. But eventually she needs a change, a break from things and a resort seems like a great idea. But with the delights of the resort comes Callula, and a part of her reawakens. But there are other plans afoot, a mystery to solve and, hopefully, both of them finding what’s been missing in their lives for so long… happiness.

			The work is a mixture of fantasy with a bit of adventure, mystery and romance around the edges which tells a lovely story that revolves around the main characters. It’s not quite erotica, it’s more a character development focused story with the passions that appear to add a heartfelt tone which is adorable.

			What I found most interesting was the time taken for the story to build up the characters, mix in events around them, and draw the threads throughout towards the climax and mystery which comes to pass. That’s exceptionally well done, the tone shifts with perspective and thoughts the characters share. The emotion that seeps in from the first meeting they have to the last page feels right and was enthralling as well.

			Jezara, the succubus of the story, is anything but stereotypical. While she is a succubus, it’s not who she is by far. There’s other aspects to her that matter more which are explored as the story is told. She’s more than a succubus, though her nature peers in on occasion which adds a humorous tone and I enjoyed that very much as well.

			Overall, this is a story about the main characters finding each other and discovering each is what the other needs to be whole. It’s a lovely story in that respect, but that doesn’t carry the story alone. With all of the threads along the way, the events that bring things to a head, and especially the latter part of the story which has a very Orient Express tone, there’s just so much to captivate and delight in.

			Four out of five pitchforks.

			I would have liked perhaps to know more about Jezara, about succubi in this universe. Not deeply so, but more to sate my curiosity about them. How this work closes is perfect and left me with a smile. But I would love to see a follow on story with Jezara and Callula sometime, especially with the tease in the last few pages that offers a lot to explore.

== Plot Summary ==
To be the most successful mercenary in the Trisles pays. Especially when the succubus, Jezara, has no allegiance to either side of the southern island kingdoms’ war. When a beachside resort offers a new, month-long, all-inclusive package, Jezara decides she needs a break from mercenary work and books herself a vacation.

Callula is a mermaid who is just trying to get by. She works as a maid in her hometown’s famous resort. When the resort offers a new package for the highest paying customers, Callula earns herself a promotion. Too bad this new promotion involves her being the personal attendant to one of these customers.

As Callula and Jezara fall into a vacation routine and start to fall for each other, they discover that not everything at the resort is as it seems. When Jezara’s vacation comes to a head with a week-long train ride around the desert, secrets are revealed, and danger is around every corner.
