			It’s a great night for a party and Somer is looking forward to some fun and other diversions along with his friends. For an incubus, this is a great place to feed and enjoy what comes next. For Mya, things aren’t so much fun, she’s hungry all the time and getting sicker every day. A chance meeting in the middle of the fun leads to revelations for them both and a future they never expected.

			The work is a hot flash which focuses on the main characters Mya and Somer who meet, become entangled in lust and fall into the beginnings of love. A bit awkward at times, the characters feel a little off in their reactions and thoughts, but overall it’s a fun read. The heat simmers for the most part, the passion is lovely when it arrives, and there’s a nice feeling of seeking answers that works for both characters.

			Somer, the incubus of the work, is short and to the point, sometimes reading a bit self-absorbed which made him a bit unlikeable until he connected with Mya and the story took a turn. He’s a wealth of information about succubi and incubi of course and that’s really very interesting to see unfold. The mythos around them in this story universe is lovely and it’s the one thing that I really wanted to be delved into more.

			Mya, the succubus of the story, is very much a lost soul and while her story settles and answers are found for her, it’s a bit too rushed overall. Being overwhelmed by her nature, falling to the new feelings and powers unleashed in her is a story unto itself. But it’s so dearly rushed to get to the erotica and that felt like a shame.

			It’s a shame the story is so short and so focused on the main characters being intimate and not exploring the hints about the society of succubi and incubi more. Honestly that alone would make for an amazing story to read as there seems to be a lot offered in what was revealed. It’s a shame that never happened, the series didn’t delve back into these characters other than in passing in the following work, and for the prior, Somer was in the story, it wasn’t his story after all.

			Four out of five pitchforks.

			A lovely hot flash work, the characters are a lot of fun and overall it works really well. It is a bit rushed overall, the connection between the main characters feels more like lust than love. But that’s really because of the shortness of the story. A bit more time to allow the story to pause and get centered would I think have helped to make this better than it is. It’s still a really fun read and there’s a lot of little teases that could become a new work about the characters. Perhaps someday that will happen.

Mya goes to Electric Daisy Carnival with her friends hoping not only to have the time of her life but also to take her mind of off her problems. A gnawing hunger has plagued her for months.
