'''Elsepeth''' is a Succubus NPC character created by Teeuwynn Woodruff who appeared in the ''Van Richten's Guide to Fiends'' sourcebook for the second edition of the ''Dungeons and Dragons'' role playing game. Little character information or statistics were provided for her, though an encounter was described in which her actions as a Succubus were told. Her main motives according to the article she appears in, is to tempt mortals into sin, then consume their spirits before moving on to her next victim.

==Character Information==
Elsepeth's true form is of a beautiful young woman with large dark wings and glowing eyes. Some of Elsepeth's powers are described, such as her ability to charm others and to shapechange, and it is noted that she always appears as female. She is also described as being Chaotic in nature due to her actions.

Elsepeth first appeared in small town near Stangengrad in Falkovnia, having taken the form of a woman named Ammie Weaveron. She was also noted to have appeared in Borca, Falkovnia, and Darkon as well according to the article.

Elsepeth works subtly to corrupt and manipulate mortals, mainly focusing her attention on males. Her goal is to tempt men into infidelity, then steal the spirits of their wives and that of the men foolish enough to make a deal with her. She is described as not having assistance of any kind in her actions, preferring to act on her own.

Elsepeth, it is said, does not seem to engage in combat, thus her particular abilities and vulnerabilities in battle are not described. She does possess a particularly potent charm, as well as the ability to drain the spirit from her victims and Elsepeth seems driven by the desire to corrupt.

According to her entry, Elsepeth was found out because of a contract she had signed with her true name which was recovered in damaged condition. Those that encounter her are warned that she has preyed on a succession of men, destroying their love, and tempting them into betrayal.
