			Hell, so it is said, is the place we find ourselves when circumstance being it upon ourselves. But there is another place of darkness in which the choices are not one’s own, there are foretold in the actions of those that made deals in the past and forever.

			The work overall is a horror mystery with a bit of an erotic tone and a very strong presence of the Lilith myths tie the story together. It is extremely dark and foreboding from the first to the last page, each character being drawn into or part of the horror that comes to the main characters.

			As part of the building of the horror, there are aspects of the Lilith myth, and those that fall to worship in the story, that pull the work from a general sense of horror to a series of violent and quite telling events that I didn’t find to my taste, but then I do not enjoy works of horror regardless.

			The demoness Lilith appears, eventually, her form being shaded through much of the story until the confrontation between her and the main character brings her fully into view. This Lilith is a mixture of many different facets of her myth, but at the core, she is entirely an evil being and, with how little of her true aspect appears, it’s a bit disappointing that she is rather stereotypical and doesn’t appear to be more complex that what she shows herself to be.

			Two out of five pitchforks.

			I found the overall story and characters rather dislikable from the first page and by the close of the story there was really so very little that I enjoyed or found to be something above a shock horror story for the most part. Perhaps more time with Lilith herself would have added something, perhaps a little less confused story would have also made a difference. But I just couldn’t find my way into the story and it didn’t appeal to me at least.
