			Sienna has known that the dark brings with it a mystery and a companion. A presence she cannot escape, but desires to know. Not all things in the dark are so, some bring passion to the fore, an dreams to be fulfilled.

			The work is a deeply detailed piece of erotica which takes a good deal of time to build up the main characters, connect them together, and then allows the heat to build dramatically towards the climax.

			It’s not exactly a hot flash even being so short in length. The entanglement does take some time to appear, but in the context of the story that works really well. The building up of tension within Sienna, her cries for the connection with her mystery are deeply emotional and told well.

			Damius, the incubus or as told here, sleep demon, is a very uniquely described character. Not really demonic in form, he is different, his desire for Sienna clear. This makes their path something of each discovering the other and seeking out their connection.

			Written very well, especially with Sienna really only able to speak and not act, it’s a story which relies on touch and feel far more than actions. While that comes in time for the climax, it remains somewhat one-sided, but both characters find their release and passions.

			Three and a half out of five pitchforks.

			Damius is a mystery overall, which works well and adds a bit of tension to the story. Perhaps something more from him than his staccato speech might have added more heat overall. The ending feels a bit melancholy, the reason for that is made clear however. Still, perhaps a epilog of what happened afterwards might have connected the story threads better. Nonetheless a unique story told in a unique way which I rather enjoyed.
